For a woman to be drawing water at this hour would be an unusual occurrence. The poem is written as if the Samaritan woman is casting her mind back over some time to that day when she met Jesus. Cheryls observation was: How extraordinary was this of Jesus: He did not just heal the man who was ordering His unjust arrest; He healed that mans SERVANT! Just like that woman at the well, if you will admit your sin, and trust Jesus as our Savior, you can be washed from all your sin, get a real relationship with God and eternal life in heaven and like that woman, you can then say: This is my story! Who does work to bring us energy and put life in our bodies. Here this woman was, with the opportunity to receive eternal life and she wanted it! So beautifully explained.
